Bidim
Used for:
Drainage
ideally suited to subsoil drainage systems used to remove water from road layer works, sports fields and behind retaining walls. The three dimensional structure of a non woven needle punched geotextile ensures high through flow rates and hence excellent drainage performance.
Separation
used extensively in construction of roads and embankments over soft ground. The separation geotextile ensures the soft sub grade does not contaminate the fill material quality. The high elongation characteristics (>50%) of bidim® non woven geotextiles limits installation damage which ensures long term performance.
Filtration
outperform natural filters in many applications particularly revetments and subsoil drainage. The extremely high porosity of non woven geotextiles allows water flow while preventing fines migration. The complex flow path mimics a natural filter and provides considerable cost saving over a traditional graded natural filter.
Weed Mat
Weed mat is an artificial mulch or fibrous cloth material laid on top of the soil preventing weeds from growing to the surface.
- A woven polyethylene matting made for weed control in nurseries, landscaping and horticulture
- The weedmat structure is tight enough to prevent light reaching the soil so weeds cannot grow, but allows air and water to pass through to prevent soil souring.
