Gumnut Outback Garden Edging Timber-Look Charcoal 700x125x75mm
Outback Garden Edging by Gumnut is a durable, narrow, cast concrete strip with a beautiful, weathered timber sleeper appearance. Angled ends allow for either straight or 45 degree angles. If you ever wanted to use a railway sleeper as a garden edge but didn't have enough space to do it, this is your answer. At only 125mm wide (about the same as the top width of a brick) these garden edging blocks are perfect for conserving precious garden space.
The top of each strip is permanently imprinted with a pattern moulded off a genuine timber sleeper, worn by the sun and rain. Each unit is coloured with a wash of charcoal which is then sealed in to protect your garden investment for many years.
The ends angle back to allow either a 45 degree angle to be formed when joined together, or a straight section by flipping the next unit around. It's your choice.
These versatile strips may be either sunk down level with the lawn like a mower strip or laid right on top of existing soil as a raised edge. For professional results and the best control of invasive grasses and weeds, consider digging a shallow trench (150mm deep if sinking the strips to be level with the ground or 75mm deep if laying on top as a raised edge) and filling with 75mm of concrete as a base for your Outback Garden Edging. This will keep the garden edging units in place and provide a bit of a barrier against invasive grass and weeds.
