WLS Deco (Decomposed Granite) is derived from a type of granitic rock which, when weathered, crumbles into a coarse sandy material combined with finer particles down to silt size and some clay. It is rich, rusty brown coloured and the mix of sizes and consistency allows it to bind together well.
It can be used to create attractive pedestrian paths, construct bocce courts and driveways and even as a component in specialist potting mixes. The decomposed granite can be stabilised with cement to provide improved erosion resistance, stability against rutting and reduced vulnerability to weeds.
