WLS Forest Mulch is a budget mulch sourced from freshly shredded and chipped garden waste. It is not composted in a controlled way and may be completely uncomposted when it is delivered so nitrogen may be drawn out of the soil as it composts on your garden.
It varies dramatically in colour (anything from green to orange to gold to dark brown from load to load or within loads) and consistency and is not suitable for decorative work. It may draw nutrients (nitrogen) out of the soil, away from your plants as it breaks down. It may contain weeds and propagules (suckers, spores, seeds, etc).
